At The Foster Mas' House

My name is Matilda reporting from my wonderful foster home in downtown Seattle. I’m a big bulldog with a big smile and a loving personality. When I smile I have a bottom tooth that sticks out, which always seems to make people smile back. My foster family lives where there are lots of other dogs and I get along well with all of them and with their people as well.

I enjoy playing with toys and will gladly fetch them for you, but I’d rather play tug! I also enjoy lots of pets, scratches and belly rubs, and like most bulldogs I love a good nap. My favorite time is when people get down on the floor with me to play. Even though I’m a big girl I’m very gentle.
I can sit, lay down, come, and shake hands on command. I know how to walk at heel on a leash, but sometimes I forget when I’m really excited. I’m working on that one. I hardly ever bark, but will talk to you in “bulldog speak” when I want something. I sleep in a dog bed and never get on the people furniture.

I haven’t had enough exercise recently, so I’m going for several walks each day and playing as much as I can to get myself into good shape for the right family.

Welcome Matilda

8 yr old BIG red girl, ready for her new adventure. Mom & Dad got a deevorce and mom got me in the settlement. Dad wanted to know what mom was going to do with me and she told him she was going to take me to the animal shelter. ACK!!! I have been her dog for 8 yrs!! My dad said no you are not!! I will take her. Well dad is a firefighter and wasn’t always able to be home with me all the time. He wanted me to have people around me so he made the very hard decision to have Cascade find me a new home. He, Grandma & Grandpa were very sad to see me go yesterday, they were crying.

I am very sweet and loving, I know a few tricks too. I love to go for walks or just hang out and snuggle. I am blind in one eye and it doesn’t require much care, just wipe the goobies out once in a while. I would do nicely in a condo or a quiet retirement home. I like kids but would rather just have them visit then be there all the time.

She will not be shipped anywhere, please don't ask. Please have a current application on file before you contact us. Contact Cindy for additional information.
